Nicole just returned home from school with all the prizes shown in the picture. Apparently, she raised the most money for the “Reach for the Stars†program in her class. This program was to encourage young students to read, while raising money for the school library. Nicole did all the fund raising on her own with little to no help from her parents. I fear the neighbors felt they were being pestered, as Nicole would sit by the window and wait until she saw their cars arrive on the driveway. Then she would run out the door to ask them before they even got into the house! This program was great for Nicole as it motivated her to read more and it has really helped her skills this semester. She read a total of 385 minutes! Thanks to all who participated in this program with Nicole.
