Stephanie left to go to sea again this weekend. The picture at right is her walking to the C2 Greyhound. This flight is called a COD, short for “Carrier Onboard Delivery” which flew her out to the USS Enterprise. The landing is quite an experience as the plane must catch an arresting wire on the flight deck. In order to do this, the pilot usually lands at full throttle so he can take off again in case he misses the wire. The landing takes place in a very short amount of space. Stephanie will be out for about two and a half months and may be able to come home for a couple of days. Once she has completed her time at sea, she will be rotating to a new job at the Pentagon. Potentially, this could be her last sea tour in the Navy!
