We took a quick day trip to the Grand Canyon from Sedona. A short one hour drive, we found the south rim was still very hot. While the kids were highly motivated to hike to the bottom, that is normally reserved for an overnight trip, so they settled for a quick one hour hike down and then another back up to the rim.
We capped the day with a helicopter tour of the canyon. It was well worth it as we would have never seen some areas of the canyon.
