Vic’s Furlough List

Since there is not enough time to get a part time job (approximately 11 furlough days), I will take up some, hopefully inexpensive, hobbies. The list below are things to do one day per week.

Furlough Hobbies:

  • Bill cutting
  • 240 SX 2.0 upgrades – Exhaust Regulator, Headlight switch, Head-up display, Radio/speakers, Cruise Control, A/C
  • Truckie 3.0 upgrades – Electrical Drains, Bumper, Rust, Driver Side Window, Body Panels, Paint,  Windshield, Radio, A/C, Battery, Chime Assembly, Flasher Assembly
  • Volunteer work
  • Website 5.0 upgrades – Webcalendar, Web Gallery, WP-Theme
  • Garage 2.0 – Paint, Storage, Work Bench
  • Network 2.0 – CAT5, Switch
  • Body 5.0 – Eye, Scope, Dental

Having been in the Washington DC area for several years, 1998-2000, we have realized that there are many places that we have not been to or seen. So the following is list of places I haven’t been to yet but want to see:

  • National Archives
  • Washington Monument
  • Einstein Memorial/National Science Foundation
  • Smithsonian Castle
  • Spy Museum
  • American Indian Museum
  • Reagan Center
  • Supreme Court
  • Capital Chambers
  • Vice Presidents House and Atomic Clock at the Old Naval Observatory
  • National Cathedral
  • “Little Rome”

  • Marine Corps History Museum in Quantica, VA
  • Sunset Parade at the Marine Barracks, 8th and I st.
  • Navy Museum and Display Ship Barry at the Washington Navy Yard
  • Washington Nationals game at the new stadium in SE
  • Library of Congress, obtain a reader card
