We are looking forward to another great year. Sam is graduating this year, Nicole is a freshman at the National Champion University of Alabama (Roll Tide), and Timothy is half way through his sophomore year at high school. I have included a recap of his 2017 lacrosse year above. You may want to turn the volume down if you are not a fan of high speed guitar instrumentals. The first is “Righteous” from Eric Johnson and the second is “Surfing with the Alien” by Joe Satriani.
We have been cleaning out the basement this spring and Stephanie has been scanning old family photo’s as well as converting old video’s to digital format. The video above was converted from some old 8 mm films we found. We believe that it was filmed in the 1950’s in New York and Massachusetts. Stephanie’s father, Bill can be seen along with her grandfather and grandmother, Joseph and Emma. We are not quite sure who the other folks are. At the time, there was no sound, and I haven’t had the time to edit and add sound. Enjoy!
I married the most beautiful girl on earth. While there are stressful times planning a wedding, I remember that ours was also a lot of fun. The video above shows some of our friends and family as we build up to the big day.
San Diego was fantastic! Our wedding was at the Birch Aquarium at Scripps Institution of Oceanography in La Jolla, CA. It was followed by the reception at the Starlight Room, featuring a retractable roof on the top floor of the Bristol Hotel in downtown San Diego. The band was “The Heroes” who I believe are still playing today in San Diego.
I am looking forward to spending another 20 years together with Steph!
…and Yeah, 90’s music!
Note: Because these video’s were uploaded to Youtube and contain copyrighted material (the songs), some advertisements may appear, and some countries (Germany) may not be able to view the content.
So we have been online for a bit of time now and I was perusing some old files and found one of our original banners. My how things have changed! Although Samantha is doing gymnastics, Nicole is still into dance, and Timothy still loves sports, although he hasn’t played soccer in a very long time.
The original site was hand-coded. Today, it is as easy as using a word processor and highly searchable. Web hosts are much more prevalent and provide a lot more services, automation, and security then in the past. Here’s to many more years of keeping the blog running!
And the start of the season for us began with ” A Holiday SpecTAPular” hosted by the Artistic Rhythms Alliance (ARA). The Metropolitan Youth Tap Ensemble (MYTE) directed by Jason Holley and Nick King, performed two numbers, “Sleigh Ride” choreographed by Jason Holley, and “WILD” (below) choreographed by Charles Renato.
From our family to yours, wishing you a Merry Christmas, Hanukkah Sameach, and a Happy New Year!
